We are both happy and sad to announce that Mrs. Susan Covington is retiring. Saturday, December 22nd will be her last day at the freckled frog. We are so happy for her and her husband, Jerry, that they will get to enjoy some much-needed time together and many motorcycle road trips! Selfishly, we will miss her dearly. As a freckled frog customer, we know you too have come to know and love Mrs. Susan. She is absolutely irreplaceable. She has been with us since the beginning in 2005...over 7 years! Susan started her retail career at Cris's dress shop, also located on Covington's Court Square, more than 40 years ago. In between Cris's and the freckled frog, she worked at the Cherry Blossom and owned her own fabric store for several years. She will continue to do what she loves best: sew! "Susan's Sewing Room" has an official business license and will operate out of her home. She says she will do alterations and sew for the public until her "fingers just can't."
We are framing a picture of the Covington Court Square to give her as a farewell gift. We had a large mat cut so all of you, her friends, could sign it! Please stop by the freckled frog this week to write your name on it. Shhhh! It's a SURPRISE gift so please do not mention it to Susan! If she is here when you come in to sign, just ask for Kendra or Debbie. She may wonder what's going on but it will all make sense when she receives her gift!
